When I first started working out and all that, I quickly realized that the plan I was using didn’t work and that frankly, even if you’re not getting as much exercise, you have to start out slow or else you are going to fail and that’s never good for your diet efforts. Yes, I know, whoever told you not to exercise for longer. But the simple fact is that I started out really strong. I was proud of myself, starting out running about 3 miles to work up from there.
The only problem is that every time my muscles were over exhausted, and over time it really wore me down. After only a week, my muscles were sore, I was tired, and I really didn’t want to go workout, and after 2 weeks, it was to the point where I was skipping days in a row and being set back. It wasn’t a good plan. Yes I was burning more calories. But it could never last. Therefore, I ended up taking myself down to half a mile where my muscles were still okay, but still being worked. Then I worked up slowly from there. I eventually got up to several miles more, and then I was fine. But you really have to work up to it.
